It was probably caught early, so maybe I'm just lucky. I had 2 months of doxycycline but I still had very bad arthritis for months after that. I don't know if I still had the infection, or if it was just my immune system continuing to react.

Over four months ago I started salt and vitamin C -- 12g of each every day. During that time the symptoms decreased gradually.

So I really don't know. The antibiotics did not seem to help at all, and the salt/C seemed to help a lot. But it's impossible to know, since the antibiotics might have killed the bacteria and the symptoms just took a long time to go away.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-72382737862000947.post-55996845733517708972008-04-25T22:01:00.000-06:002008-04-25T22:01:00.000-06:00Hi Lemon, Thanks for sharing your experience with ...Hi Lemon,

Thanks for sharing your experience with God. I agree that suffering means there is less distraction from the pleasures of life.

I didn't know you are almost over Lyme! That is great :) What do you think helped you to get over that the most? Was there one therapy in particular?

And faith works, yes! Thanks for your encouragement. I do believe that God will bring good from my suffering, as He has brought good from yours.

May you be blessed in your healing journey!

ConnieConnie Strasheimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16717029511098232885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-72382737862000947.post-88866576054459701542008-04-25T18:36:00.000-06:002008-04-25T18:36:00.000-06:00"maybe the broken are the only ones who get past t..."maybe the broken are the only ones who get past the trinkets of the world and into the arms of God."

Yes I think that's true. Before I caught Lyme disease I had fibromyalgia for 25 years. I didn't think of myself as sick because I did not have a diagnosis, but I was sick. Now I seem to be getting over Lyme disease but I still have fibromyalgia at times. Getting Lyme disease has made me realize I have been sick, off and on, for a very long time.

I was always able to work, exhausting as it sometimes could be. But having to suffer means there is less distraction from the pleasures of life.

I pray a lot because I need more help than a healthy person. God has given me miraculous and wonderful healing, many times, but it doesn't last if I try to go my own way without Him.

I probably wouldn't know the meaning of health if I had never been sick. I have been sick and poor and abandoned, and got through it all by praying. Faith works.

I'm glad you have so much faith Connie, and I know you will be cured. When your ordeal of sickness is over and you are healed, or at least mostly healed, you will look back and see how much you learned from it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
