Lyme Brain and Seismic Encounters...

It's twelve-fifteen A.M., and in twilight slumber, I feel my body vibrating. Half-asleep, I think, what's going on? Is this a neurological Lyme symptom?
I open my eyes, and the ceiling lamp is moving back and forth, back and forth. Lyme vertigo?
Then I realize that everything around me is shaking and thundering, as if, as if... the ground is moving!

Can you tell I've never been in an earthquake?

At least it's not Lyme disease!

Yikes! I would have thought the same thing about the vibrating being from lyme...I often vibrate and wake up shaking hard...Your adventure takes me back to when we lived in the Philippines and one day the house girl had taken the kids outside..all of a sudden it sounded like someone was banging on the door...then I noticed the ceiling lamp swinging back and forth~~things were shaking as I staggered through the door screaming for my kids and housegirl...she looked so confused. "Oh, no worry, she said, it is just the earth shaking!" I knew about typhoons but we were not briefed about earthquakes.
They say you get used to it?
Hope all is calm for now in your part of the world.

Hi Renee,

So you know what this is like!
Quite often the earth here burps but this one was quite the belch!

Anyway, I'm sure people who live in seismic zones get used to it. How interesting to live in the Phillipines!
