A New Book on Healing...In The Making!

I'm being led to write a new book on healing during the first part of this year. Let's face it, Lyme disease treatments just don't cut it for many, and while the medical community has made great strides in coming up with new and innovative solutions to treat Lyme, some people are still left struggling. Either the treatments only get them sorta kinda better, or they can't pay for them, anyway. It is for these people that I write this book, as well as for those who don't want to spend years on a never-ending treatment treadmill.

God has been showing me a new way to get well, within the spiritual realm, and I am currently exploring and writing about it. Spiritual healing isn't incompatible with medicine, but can, by itself, be a solution to the problem of disease.

I won't say any more about the work for now. It's still in the design stages, but I believe that it will offer new hope to those who are struggling. In the meantime, may 2010 be a year of healing and new discoveries for treating and beating Lyme and the associated conditions that it causes!

And just as a sidenote...

While it is my desire to respond to every comment and email that I get from my readers, I don't always have time to do this, so please don't take it personally if I am unable to get back to you. I will answer emails as time permits. In the meantime, feel free to leave comments on this blog. It is easier for me to respond on the blog than via e-mail, so I may be able to respond in a more timely manner if you post to the blog instead of sending me an email. If you are unable to post to the blog, or wish to communicate something that is of a private nature, however, I will still respond to emails as I am able. Thanks! :)

Wow! Another book! Are u sure those anbx don't have u buzzing around.lol.. Nonetheless(below is something i posted elsewhere but edited to explain how i would appreicate your book). The worst part for me is the life I lost combined with the ongoing suffering of the illness. Synergistically the effect of the physical suffering and the emotional trauma results in a tortue that words can't illustrate (at least not my words). The disease ravages the body and tortures the mind. Ultimately, both horrors are enough to kill a person's spirit. This is especially true in chronic lyme since I know that regardless of all the efforts/protocols and our doctor, at this time, we are left with an illness hindering our lives.

I think we are left to grieve the loss of our previous life at some level. The grief and acceptance is something we must endure and process in our minds/intellect. That process is a lonely one as it is very individual, and especially in lyme cases. A book on healing spiritually could really help someone with my feelings and create a life changing perspective.

We can chat all day and for years about protocols and our wondeful doctor. But emotional support for our losses and our suffering is frequently overlooked as we try to cram new technical information into our brain. I often cling to the next treatment or or seek out technical knowlege like I have OCD; yet, I am left feeling very ill and alone with my mind and my emotions.

I am also left feeling further away from God. Many people send me information about God and becoming closer to Him during my suffering. I have not found that to be true for me. Thus, I would love to know of someone who can articulate a different feeling and path toward healing with God. Go for it Connie, I will be waiting to read it.

Yes. I can relate to losing my life from Lyme.
However, I have regained my life after going undiagnosed for 10 years. I did not believe that antibiotics would cure me, as I had taken them early on in the disease, and went on to chronic Lyme anyway. I chose a different path. I went to a chiropractor who is trained in NRT ( Nutritional Response Testing). It is an advanced type of muscle testing (kinesiology). It taps into your higher all-knowing self to find the answers : what is inflaming your body? What does your body want to help it heal, and exactly how much of it? Many of us have an underlying condition that has contributed to a weakened immune system which is the perfect set up for this dreadful disease. The underlying condition must be identified and irradicated before there is any hope of irradicating Lyme. To find a practitioner for NRT, google Nutrition Response Testing. Call the organization , which is in FLorida, and they will give you the names of practitioners in your area. The Lyme disease I had is now undetectable in my body, and I have my life back. I wish the same for you.

I am looking forward to your next book Connie. I am very grateful for all you are sharing about other forms of healing...and how much healing comes from GOD!

Hi Connie thank you for your latest book. You put all the info into one place for us. I have a question. Do you know what brand of deer antler velvet Dr. Cowden would recommend? Or how we can find out. I wouldn't want to take anything that would interfere with my progress and there are so many to choose from.

Hi Angela, I sympathize with your trauma...physical and emotional! I still go through that myself sometimes. You may enjoy my first book, "The Lyme Disease Survival Guide" because it offers suggestions for coping with the emotional part of the disease. I agree that there is a grieving process that we must go through over the loss of our "former" life. It's like a death, really. I pray that through your healing process, you will discover a life that is even better than the one you had before. It may take time, but who knows if the journey won't take you to a better place! In my new book, I will be attempting to share the love of God according to what I have experienced, with the hope that it will touch people in a new way. Thanks for your thoughts,

Connie

Hi FreshVeggies,

I'm not sure what brand Dr. Cowden recommends, but you might ask someone at his Integra Med Academy website (the address of which I believe is in the book).
Good luck,

Connie

Thanks, everyone, for your responses and suggestions!

Hi Connie,
Since we are talking about spiritual healing and I've been reading "Christ the Healer", I was hoping for some clarification. I know you said you've witnessed healings, however, I haven't. In fact, recently a friend of mine died at age 40 after fulling believing she heard from God that she would be healed. She went to several healing services. Her entire church was so stunned when she died because we all believed she'd be healed. This really made me question whether healing is for today or not.

The verses you list on your site as well as what he lists in the book do confuse me. I'm fuzzy on the verses that do say God's will is for us to be healed. That could mean healing comes when we go to Heaven. Or emotional and spiritual healing.

How come so many aren't healed? Do we need to just accept or surrender to a life of suffering because this is life on earth?

I was so enlightened by his explanation of Paul's "thorn". Wow...never read it that way before. People will always say to me, "Maybe you are like Paul and just know God's grace is sufficient".

Sorry this is so long. If you want me to site specific verses, I can.

Thanks Connie.

Hi Lori,

Thanks for sharing. I understand your confusion. This is one of the greatest debates within Christianity-whether God still heals supernaturally or not. Last weekend, I received a miracle, and I know of many others who have. At the same time, I know God doesn't always choose to heal this way. My research is teaching me that there are things that can block us from receiving healing (ie, unforgiveness), and He doesn't always heal immediately. So if a person stops their treatments, believing they will be made well (I don't know if the person in your church did that) they may not heal, if God's timing is different than theirs. In any case, there are things that can't be explained, but just because some don't receive a miracle, doesn't mean that God doesn't want them well. But there isn't a formula, unfortunately. My personal belief is that it's good to believe that God wants to heal us, but in the manner and timing that He decides for us, which may or may not involve a miracle. I hope that helps.

Blessings, Connie
